Job Fair - Share with Others
Service Officer AlertPost 78 Service Officer, Joe Reed, made an announcement at our Post meeting February 6th that may have an impact on the lives of some Veterans. The Federal Government is going to stop issuing paper checks to Veterans. All payments will be either by direct deposit or to a government credit card.
It the the Veteran has a checking or savings account the payment will be made into the Veterans account. If a Veteran does not have a checking or savings account the Veteran will be issued a government credit card that can be used like any other credit card. The credit card will be automatically recharged each time a payment is made. Please share this information with Veterans that may be impacted and advise them to contact the Veterans Administration. |
